How is SnackScore different from Nutri-Score or other rating systems?

SnackScore is the only grading system calibrated specifically for children. Our sugar thresholds are 50% stricter than adult standards, and we evaluate additives, allergen transparency, and sourcing — categories most other systems ignore entirely.

Can I scan any snack, even if you do not sell it?

Yes! Our SnackScore Scanner can grade any packaged snack by scanning its barcode. We have over 50,000 products in our database, and we are adding more daily. If a product is not in our system, you can submit it for scoring.

Are all snacks in your vending machines also available online?

Most are! Our vending machines carry a curated selection of top-rated snacks, while our online shop offers our full catalog. Some vending-exclusive items may rotate based on regional availability.

How do subscription boxes work?

Choose a box size and tell us about your kids' ages and dietary needs. Each month, we curate a box of B+ or above rated snacks tailored to your family. You can customize, swap items, pause, or cancel anytime.

Is Snack Smart Kids available nationwide?

Do brands pay to be scored or featured?

Never. SnackScore is completely independent. Brands cannot pay to influence their score. Featured placements in our shop are based on grade, customer ratings, and seasonal relevance — not advertising dollars.
